As a Kasey Millstead fan, I couldn't wait to read her new series.... it was exactly what I've come to expect from Kasey. 'Undercover' book 1 of the "Zephyrs MC" series, is amazingly done in true Kasey style. This women can write just aboout anything.Oak hates the MC lifestyle but he has a job to do, but he never expected to be mesmerized by Willa, she haunts his dreams & it's all he can do to stay away. Willa has always found something about Oak that drew her to him, but he never seamed to notice her... a spanner is thrown in Willa's life & Oak is the one to step forward & pull the information out of Willa.
I loved that I wasn't left with a cliffhanger wondering if things were going to happen. I also loved being told both sides of the story, having Oak & Willa's POV's throughout the story helped to understand everything that was happening. Other things I loved, was the head strong female lead Willa, the loyalty of her brother Ray & lead man Oak. I can't wait for more of the "Zephyrs MC" series.

A great read, with endearing, believable characters. Good plot and storyline. I noticed this seems away from her usual cowboy stories but I really enjoyed it and would love to see more stories from some of the secondary characters.
I love this book !! OMG Roman/Oak was HAWT and the chemistry between he and Willa smoking sexy I cant say enough about him.This was a really good story about an under cover FBI agent possing as a Zephyr MC .Willa brother is a Zephyrs MC and the action gets good .And the ending is so good I cried happy tears Thanks Ms.Millstead you got another hit !
This is one of those books that you definitely put on your Re-read pile. I simply adored the story of Will a and Oak (aka Roman). The sex was steamy. The flow of the story was excellent. VERY few errors..yes, I'm crazy and look for things like that. The secondary characters were awesome!

I was on the fence about purchasing this book and now that I have finished reading it, I wish that I had followed my gut. This book is poorly written. I don't say this lightly because I have read so many MC stories, good and bad. We find the character Oak/Roman posing as a member of the Zephyrs MC. He's really an undercover FBI agent assigned to infiltrate the club and eventually take them down for their illegal activities. Oak/Roman is this gorgeous, hot black guy. His club brother, Rad/Conrad is the brother of Willa, who is secretly attracted to Oak/Roman and he is also secretly attracted to her as well. Oak tries to keep his distance because her brother, Rad doesn't want her to have anything to do with his club. Of course, they get together because the attraction is just too strong to keep them apart. There are things I won't reveal so that if any readers want to read this boring story (like I unfortunately did) your reading won't be completely spoiled. Just the facts as I perceived them folks. Well, Willa is one the dumbest females ever! I get it that her narratives were supposed to be funny and quippy but really she was thick as sludge. I could not connect with her at all. Rad is basically just a few lines of undetermined matter. We don't get much character development from him untill the end of the book and by then I just didn't care. Willa and Oak's romance was flat and unbelievable. There was just not enough build-up to the relationship between Willa and Oak for me to feel invested in their romance. It was just sex, Ho and Hum! The Zephyrs MC is poorly detailed, characters were just names, without any back story. In the "high point" of the story the Zephyrs MC is supposed to be taking down a rival MC called the Sea Dragons. It's explained that the Sea Dragons MC operates from the ocean and are rarely spotted on land - say what now?? A motorcycle club - that's what MC means, usually, that does not ride motorcyles? You can't be serious! Now, when Oak takes Willa home to meet his parents - my descriptions of this visit and how Oak/Roman's mother was written, obviously didn't sit well with because I had to rewrite this entire review. Let's just say that in my opinion the way Roman's mother was written was unflattering and offensive to me. Anyhoo, Willa, the brain trust, loses her job at the cafe so Roman tells her she can find another cafe job in Denver where he is living. Willa thinks to herself "Maybe there's a job in the FBI cafe. "Do they even have those" This woman is a complete idiot. She is so dumb that Roman has to tell her that she is pregnant before she even realizes it herself!!!. I just don't get all the good reviews of this book, but I respect the other readers' opinions. This book just didn't work for me. I am totally not interested in reading Rad's story, if there is one. Save your money on this one.
I snagged this book as I thought it would be a new twist on the MC. The MC books although very enjoyable all seem to be the same. A couple twists inside this book, and a lead in for book 2 at the end. More "meat" of the story would have enhanced the book a lot. it seemed flat and very predictable, it wasn't hard to figure out the twist by the midway point which was a let down. More effort to fill out the story line would have turned this from an OK read to an exceptional read.
The storyline was great and author did a great job telling the story. Roman/Oak is so hot and the sex scenes are smoking hot. Roman knew what to do with the equipment God gave him. (That is in the book 😃) The chemistry between Roman and Willa is there almost from the beginning of the story. Roman is working undercover to bring down the MC when he falls for Willa. There are surprises near the end of the story that I didn't see coming but was so glad it worked out that way for Willa's sake. A really great read and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I love undercover stories especially when it involves bikers and falling in love when you are not supposed to get involved. Although it was predictable in some parts, the sex was hot but repetitive and it all ended too nice and sweetly...there were some surprises at the end and all in all I really enjoyed it quite a bit.
When a book keeps me reading non-stop till the end, that tells me it was worth my time. I am really hoping for a book about Rad next.
